Turkeys For Linda started in November 2010. My best friend, Linda died of lung cancer at a very young age. She had never smoked before and she had a love for smokers and smoked food. Every Thanksgiving we would give her and her family a smoked turkey.
In 2010, we started this cause to promote awareness about lung cancer. The week of Thanksgiving my husband and I smoke turkeys and all proceeds go to the non profit of choice. We are not asking for a donation, we are asking you to purchase a fully cooked Thanksgiving turkey for the Holiday from us. In 2010, we raised $650 and in 2011 we raised over $750. In 2012, we raised $2950 all supporting the American Lung Assocation.
